A current resident of Carolina Beach, NC, Brett is always on the lookout for local area woods to use for his turnings and projects. Whether it be from a tree downed during a storm, tree service removal, or sometimes from a pile that would be considered firewood.
The salvaged woods used are found in raw form, and taken through the process of cutting, sealing, drying and ultimately turned into finished bowls and other items. This entire process can take weeks to months to sometimes years, from start to finish.
Salvaging wood is a labor of love, but allows for these beautiful trees to be enjoyed and appreciated for years to come.
